Helldivers 2: Heart of Democracy Update Unleashed
Arrowhead Game Studios has unveiled the eagerly awaited Helldivers 2: Heart of Democracy update, available now on both PlayStation 5 and PC.
Return to Super Earth
After a challenging battle for democracy across the cosmos, players have been abruptly summoned back to Super Earth. Here, they face the threat of the Illuminate, an aggressive faction composed of the aquatic Squ’ith species. Though the Super Earth Armed Forces nearly eradicated them in the past, the Illuminate have secretly assembled a formidable fleet known as The Great Host, which is now launching an all-out assault on Super Earth.
Urban Warfare Awaits
Breaking away from traditional battlegrounds, players will engage in intense combat within sprawling urban landscapes characterized by towering skyscrapers and bustling streets. The Illuminate relentlessly bombard these environments, creating an exhilarating backdrop for battles. Within these city biomes, teams are tasked with operations aimed at liberating urban centers, deeply affecting the overarching planetary campaigns. This scenario presents a high-stakes game of intergalactic tug-of-war, as players vie for control over strategically critical landing sites.
Support from Super Earth Armed Forces
To bolster their efforts, Helldivers can command troops from the Super Earth Armed Forces. These soldiers operate autonomously but can be given orders to follow players, providing essential backup en route to mission objectives. A critical aim is to activate Super Earth’s Planetary Defense Cannons to dismantle the Illuminate onslaught. However, players must tread carefully; civilian lives hang in the balance, and any collateral damage will result in penalties for Helldivers.
Enhanced Weapon Customization Options
In addition to new missions, the latest update introduces an advanced primary weapon customization system. Most primary weapons now feature a leveling system linked to mission completions. As players progress, they can unlock various attachments through Requisition, along with unique weapon patterns.
This customization capability allows players to refine sights for enhanced precision, modify color schemes, adjust magazine capacities, and improve weapon performance through muzzle tweaks. Additionally, under-barrel attachments can be customized for better handling, providing a tailored experience suited to individual playstyles.
