Guide to Acquiring and Enhancing the Submarine in Fisch Mariana’s Veil Update
The much-anticipated Mariana’s Veil update has finally arrived in Fisch, bringing a wealth of exciting new features for players to explore. With the introduction of five new bestiaries and a variety of new rods, there’s an abundance of content to dive into. Among the highlights is a brand-new mode of transport: a submarine that players can pilot. If you’re eager to acquire and upgrade the submarine in Fisch, this guide will provide you with all the essential steps.
Acquiring the Submarine in Fisch
The submarine is integral for navigating to the newly unveiled Mariana’s Veil area. Players must follow a few straightforward steps to obtain it, which are not overly complicated but are essential for progression.
1. Speak with Dr. Glimmerfin
Your first task is to find Dr. Glimmerfin, who can be located at the entrance of Mariana’s Veil, close to Roslit Bay at coordinates X= -1439, Y= 130, Z= 511. Engage in conversation with this eccentric scientist.

- Side Fins
- Back Fins
- Windows
- Submarine Top
- Metal Top
2. Harvest Obsidian Rock for Components
Once you have the list of required parts, make your way behind the submarine to a cluster of obsidian rocks, each containing health points (HP).Use the drill provided by Dr. Glimmerfin, and continually click the left mouse button to extract parts from these rocks.

3. Assemble the Submarine Parts
After gathering the required parts, return to the submarine. Equip the collected items from your hotbar, and place each part by clicking and holding the E button.

4. Launch the Submarine with Dr. Glimmerfin
With your submarine fully assembled, return to Dr. Glimmerfin. He will express his excitement, and you need to select the ‘Spawn Submarine‘ option to bring your vehicle to the surface. You can then swim to the submarine and board it by pressing E.

Fisch Submarine Heat Upgrade
Upon reaching the Volcanic Vents area, you’ll need to upgrade your submarine yet again, converting it to the orange submarine through the Heat Upgrade. Below are the items you need to collect:
- Lava Crystal
- Blisterback Blenny
- Infernal Iguanafish
Collect these components in the vicinity, utilizing the drill on lava rocks for Lava Crystals, and fishing for the remaining items. Completing the Volcanic Vents bestiary will also contribute to your adventure.
Once you have procured all necessary items, return to the assembly podium to upgrade your submarine and receive Dr. Glimmerfin’s Suit Level One as a bonus.
Fisch Submarine Ice Upgrade
After exploring the Challenger’s Deep bestiary, your submarine will need yet another upgrade to withstand the frigid temperatures. You will require the following items:
- Ice Crystal
- Cryoskin
- Polar Prowler
- Glimmerfin Suit Level 1
By now, you should possess the level 1 suit from the previous orange submarine upgrade. To complete the Ice upgrade, fish for the remaining items in the nearby waters while also progressing through the Challenger’s Deep bestiary. Once you finish, your submarine will be equipped with an ice upgrade, and you’ll receive an upgraded Glimmerfin Suit Level Two.
