The Equilibrious Beast expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign pits players against the formidable Libra, Creature of Night. This Nightlord is particularly daunting due to its rapid movements and powerful strikes, making the encounter a true test of skill.
Interestingly, at the outset of this intense battle, players have the opportunity to engage with Libra and select from various deals that can tilt the odds in their favor. While these deals can provide beneficial effects, they are accompanied by drawbacks that debuff your character, adding an element of strategy to the gameplay.
In total, there are 11 distinct deals available during encounters with Libra. However, players should note that not every deal will be accessible at the beginning of the fight, and available options are determined by random generation.

Enhances Dexterity, also at the cost of other stats. I wish to expand my intellect. Increases Intelligence at the sacrifice of other attributes. I wish for eventual greatness. Halves Max HP, FP, and Stamina until the end of the day. I want to hold death at bay. Restores all HP when low, reducing maximum HP overall. I want the power of a demon. Provides bonuses at random times during combat, but increases Madness. I desire a flask. Gives one additional flask charge at the cost of max HP. I want more runes. Grants the Symbol of Avarice Talisman to gain more runes but lose HP.During each encounter with Libra, players can expect to find four deal choices presented to them.
Is It Mandatory to Strike a Deal with Libra?
It is important to note that making a deal with Libra is entirely optional. If you find the proposed deals unsatisfactory, you can simply choose the option to refuse the deal from the selection menu.
For those eager to engage in battle, players can also opt to attack Libra directly without accepting any deals. However, doing so could prevent their teammates from accessing the benefits of available offers during the encounter, a strategy that may not be advisable.
Choosing not to strike a deal means forgoing any buffs for the boss battle. You will avoid debuffs as well, but there are instances when accepting a deal could ultimately prove beneficial. The choice is yours to make.
Optimal Libra Deals for Players
While taking a deal from Libra can be risky given the challenge of the battle, two specific offers stand out as worthwhile under the right conditions.
First, the deal titled “I desire a powerful weapon” can be especially useful if you’re lacking a strong weapon in the early stages of your expedition. This option rewards players with an Epic-level weapon at the cost of two character levels.
This deal is advisable only if you have achieved level 15 (the maximum level) prior to facing the Nightlord, as accepting it would reduce your level to 13—still a manageable level for the fight.
Another deal worth considering is “I desire a Flask.” This option grants an extra flask charge but reduces your overall HP.
Only accept this deal if you have not acquired flask restoration upgrades during your journey. If you have received upgrades, it would be better to retain your higher health pool, as upgraded flasks would restore your full HP.
It is generally advisable to avoid deals that boost specific stats, such as Dexterity or Strength, due to the accompanying stat reductions that can inadvertently complicate the fight. For instance, reducing general health or stamina could hinder your overall performance against Libra.
