Introducing the New FFXIV Emote: Pose of the Unbound
In the recent patch 7.16 update for Final Fantasy XIV, a fresh emote named Pose of the Unbound has been unveiled. This striking emote draws inspiration from both visual kei aesthetics and the iconic pose associated with Jonathan Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures. Players can unlock this emote by completing the quest titled Imposing Views.
How to Acquire the Pose of the Unbound
The Pose of the Unbound is intricately linked to the new Role Quests introduced in the Dawntrail expansion. To embark on this journey, players must start with the quest “Picking Up the Torch,” located in Tuliyollal. It’s essential to have a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic class and to have completed both the “Dawntrail” Main Scenario Quest and the latest Role Quest specific to your class.
As you progress, your quest will guide you to Ul’dah – Steps of Thal at coordinates (X: 12.3, Y: 11.3), where you will meet the Unbound Agent. Successfully completing this mission rewards you with both the Pose of the Unbound emote and 1,000 gil.
Additional Content in Update 7.16
Pose of the Unbound is one of only two new features introduced in this update. The second addition is a new Orchestrion Roll for the lively tune “Bright Bustle.” This song is also a reward for completing a Role Quest, specifically aiding Rral Majun in Tuliyollal, coordinates (X: 12.3, Y: 14.6) during the quest “Bar the Passage.”
Noteworthy Changes in the Latest Patch
Moreover, the latest patch included several critical adjustments beyond these new additions. For instance, updates were made to elements like Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) and various PvP actions as part of the comprehensive 2025 update.
