D3 Publisher Announces New Game: Run For Money: Hunter VS Runner!

D3 Publisher has officially announced the upcoming release of a new video game, Run For Money: Hunter VS Runner! On Which Side Can You Win!?, set to launch for the Nintendo Switch in Japan in 2025. This exciting title promises to bring fresh gameplay dynamics to the beloved Run For Money franchise.

Introducing Hunter Mode

This iteration marks a significant milestone as it introduces the innovative Hunter Mode, a feature not seen in previous entries. Traditionally, players could only step into the shoes of the participant runners, reflecting the TV show’s format. However, this new mode allows players to transform into a Hunter tasked with pursuing and capturing runners within a 15-minute timeframe, adding a thrilling competitive edge to the game.

Gameplay Mechanics

In Hunter Mode, players will navigate through five unique stages, earning points based on their speed in capturing runners. This engaging gameplay mechanic promises to elevate the tension and excitement, making each match a race against time.

Multiplayer Features

The game will also feature robust multiplayer options, accommodating both local and online play. Players can join forces in split-screen sessions with up to four participants, or engage in online matchups that support up to 12 players. In these online sessions, teams can be composed of four Hunters and eight Runners, providing diverse gameplay experiences and strategies.

Connection to the Television Franchise

Scheduled for release in 2025, Run For Money: Hunter VS Runner! draws inspiration from the popular television series that has captivated audiences in Japan since 2004. Fans of the show will be pleased to know that selected episodes are accessible for viewers worldwide on Netflix, where the series was made available in November 2022.
