How To Obtain Bento Tokens

Sources of Bento Tokens

To collect Bento Tokens during the Past is Prologue event, players must complete quests assigned by the Drifter located at the Tower. By interacting with the Drifter and selecting the “Limited-Time Event”option, players can begin their journey. Initially, four quests are available, with additional quests unlocking weekly or during the weekends with Xur.

Most of the primary quests yield one Bento Token upon completion, while “The Stuff of Legends”quest rewards players with two tokens. The total available across the event caps at eight tokens per account. Tokens earned can be exchanged with Eris Morn on the Moon for various rewards. To maximize token acquisition, focus on completing quests efficiently.

Completing Drifter’s Bento Token Quests

Steps to Complete Quests

To complete the Drifter’s Bento Token quests, players will embark on a set of varied missions. For the “Nightmare Lunch”quest, your goal is to achieve a score of sixty by participating in activities on the Moon, with Nightmare Hunts being the fastest route to success—typically, two hunts suffice.

The “A Dubious Bento”quest involves collecting ten Dubious Celery from Gambit enemies and ten Century Eggs from foes located on the Moon. Gambit encounters are ideal for farming Celery, while public events or Sorrow’s Harbor serve as excellent locations for Century Eggs. The “Martial Mementos”quest requires 200 enemy kills utilizing specific Exotic weapons such as Malfeasance or Whisper of the Worm, and areas with high enemy density, like Grasp of Avarice, are particularly effective for this task.

Finally, “The Stuff of Legends”challenges players to complete two encounters in any raid or dungeon. Raids typically offer greater progress, but dungeons like Shattered Throne are quicker alternatives for those without a raid team. Note that most quests reward one Bento Token, except for “The Stuff of Legends, ”which grants two. Optimize your questing based on your playstyle and available time to make the most of this event.

Overview of Available Rewards

Rewards Offered in This Event

The Past is Prologue event in Destiny 2 allows players to acquire special rewards by using Bento Tokens, with a maximum of eight tokens available for use. It’s essential to strategize when spending these tokens, as the rewards encompass various categories, including crafting materials, mementos, weapons, and armor.

Among the crafting materials available are Ascendant Alloys, Ascendant Shards, Exotic Ciphers, and Spoils of Conquest. Each token can be exchanged for two Ascendant Alloys or Ascendant Shards, while Exotic Ciphers can be obtained at one per token. Spoils of Conquest are priced at 25 per token, with a cap of three purchases. These materials are critical for crafting and upgrading powerful gear.

Memento rewards provide seven unique options for each main game activity, such as Gambit and Iron Banner, and cost only one token each. These mementos serve a cosmetic purpose, making them a fun acquisition for collectors and players interested in showcasing their in-game accomplishments.

Weapon rewards include the Exotic Cloudstrike sniper rifle priced at three tokens, alongside Adept Legendary weapons like the Cataphract GL3 Grenade Launcher, Igneous Hammer Hand Cannon, and Horror’s Least Pulse Rifle, available for just one token each. The Riptide Fusion Rifle is also obtainable for a single token, featuring powerful rolls desirable for players seeking specific perks.

Lastly, if players don’t find their desired items among the weapons, they can opt for Artifice armor for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks at two tokens each. While these options are visually striking, players should be aware of potential future changes to the armor system that could impact their utility. Additionally, spending at least five Bento Tokens unlocks the sought-after Chatterwhite shader, a rewarding incentive for participants in this event.
