Deltarune Chapter 3: Complete Guide to S-Ranking All Mini-Games

Deltarune Chapter 3 presents a unique experience that diverges from previous chapters by focusing on mini-games that offer engaging and quirky challenges. This distinctive format emphasizes replayability and skill development rather than linear gameplay.
Players can revisit three main mini-games once they achieve at least an A rank on any board. Although replaying these games doesn’t significantly boost your score, it does provide an opportunity to pursue that coveted S rank.
Performing well in mini-games is crucial for obtaining an overall S rank, as they contribute a substantial portion to your total score. Conversely, underperforming can negatively impact your results, making it essential to hone your skills.
Among the mini-games, one is exclusive to the A-Rank room and serves purely for enjoyment. For those aiming for a spotless S on their scorecard, this mini-game is an excellent addition, but keep in mind that access is limited after your second visit to the Green Room.
Cooking Show
The Cooking Show mini-game is a whirlwind of chaos, requiring multiple attempts to master due to the unpredictable fire hazards and the need for multitasking. Players should keep an eye on the fire scattered around the ground, as jumping over these flames grants bonus points. Additionally, diving into food contributes to your score.
For effective gameplay, it’s advisable to limit the number of plates you’re juggling to two or three. Focus on serving them to regular customers efficiently. However, when a special guest appears, prioritize building a larger plate to serve them for a significant point boost. Maintain a brisk tempo of service to ensure you earn the required five stars for an S rank.
For players looking for more strategies, consider combining jumping with plate tossing and prioritizing food collection for optimal score enhancements.
Lightners Live
In contrast to the other mini-games, Lightners Live is straightforward. Utilization of the left and right arrow keys allows for controlling the gameplay without any prior instructions. Players can customize their controls, with many opting to use Z for ease.
Timing is critical in this rhythm game, as players must hit notes as they appear. Chapter 4 will introduce new tracks and a hard mode variant for each song, emphasizing the need for practice to achieve the full S rank across all six tracks.
My best advice when tackling this mini-game is to maintain a relaxed mindset. Allow your fingers to respond intuitively to the music and focus on pressing the correct buttons in sync with the rhythm.
Suziezilla
The Suziezilla mini-game is optional but requires a point fee to access. Notably, it is one of the more intricate and enjoyable mini-games, though achieving an S rank can be quite challenging.
Your mission is to deter waves of Shadow Men from damaging the Tenna statue. Given the substantial charge time on Susie’s attack, positioning yourself centrally on the stage is beneficial. This strategy draws enemies towards you, allowing for efficient clearing.
When the “knockoff Spamton gun”becomes available, use it strategically for maximum impact, then promptly return to dealing with any Shadow Men turrets. As you progress, the playing field intensifies, and you’ll need to move in circles around Tenna while attacking to stay within a manageable range of foes.
As you near the end of the final wave, the difficulty eases slightly as enemy clusters become denser. Staying close to Tenna and orchestrating your attacks effectively will help you secure success.
