Poncle Unveils Vampire Survivors Crossover with Square Enix

Poncle has officially announced an exciting crossover for Vampire Survivors, integrating elements from the beloved Square Enix title. The free DLC, titled Emerald Diorama, draws inspiration from the classic JRPG SaGa Emerald Beyond. Players can enjoy this new content across various platforms, with immediate availability on all major systems, including consoles and PC. However, it is worth noting that Apple Arcade users will not have access to this DLC.

New Features Introduced in the DLC

The Emerald Diorama DLC enriches the Vampire Survivors experience by introducing over 12 new characters, including notable figures such as Ameya Aisling, Bonnie Blair, Formina Franklyn, Diva No 5, Siugnas, and Tsunanori Mido. Alongside these characters, players can wield more than 16 unique weapons, including fan favorites like the Fleuret, Hecaton Machine Gun, Hyperion Bazooka, and Pressure Point.

A noteworthy addition is the Glimmer mechanic, allowing characters to unlock new abilities and attacks through weapon usage. Furthermore, when health levels are critically low, SaGa characters can unleash a powerful Showstopper attack, enhancing strategic combat experience. A new stage inspired by the varied worlds of the SaGa franchise also awaits players.

Soundtrack Highlights

The DLC also features a selection of iconic tracks from the SaGa series, enhancing the gaming experience with the following songs:

  • “Against All Odds”
  • “CCPD, Moving Out”
  • “Darkness Incarnate”
  • “Emerald Destinies”
  • “Feel the Beat”
  • “A Fierce Engagement”
  • “A Quick Warm-Up”
  • “The World’s Heartbeat”
  • “Yumeha, Chipper as Ever”

Updates to the Base Game

In addition to the Emerald Diorama crossover, players can also look forward to original content in the base game through a free update. This update introduces The Coop, a new gameplay mode complete with fresh challenges, characters, weapons, and additional items, including a Relic and a Darkana. Players can unlock new achievements or trophies as they progress.

Among the new Adventures, one is accessible to all players, titled “To End an Ice Age”. The other, “Tides of the Foscari”, requires the related DLC for access.

Availability

Vampire Survivors is available on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices. The highly anticipated Emerald Diorama DLC is currently free for all players.
