Dying Light The Beast Release Confirmed for Summer: 10th Anniversary Roadmap Unveiled

Techland Celebrates 10 Years of Dying Light with Major Announcements
Recently, Techland unveiled a wealth of exciting news in honor of the Dying Light franchise’s tenth anniversary. Since its launch in 2015, this groundbreaking first-person zombie survival series has captivated over 45 million players, an increase of 15 million from two years ago. Collectively, these players have engaged in an astounding 67 billion zombie kills and logged more than 1 billion hours of gameplay across both titles.
Anniversary Events and Exciting New Features
To celebrate this remarkable milestone, Techland has organized a series of in-game events spanning four weeks. Kicking off the festivities, the original Dying Light
will introduce HyperMode with a double XP bonus during the first week. Meanwhile, Dying Light 2
will offer its largest discount yet, reaching up to 67% off, depending on the platform and region.
As the celebrations continue, various events are set to be implemented. Players of the original game can look forward to Low Gravity, Super-Crane, and Viral Rush events.Dying Light 2
gamers will have access to new bounties through the Pilgrim Outpost website. Notably, the fourth week marks the introduction of the Tower Raid cooperative roguelike mode as a permanent addition to Dying Light 2
following multiple rounds of playtesting.
Enhancements and Future Developments
Beyond the anniversary events, Techland announced that the original Dying Light
will receive a significant patch that enhances visuals and incorporates a remastered soundtrack, featuring fresh tracks from the original composer, Paweł Błaszczak. As Dying Light 2 Stay Human
progresses through its planned five-year post-launch support, new features are already on the horizon. The updated 2025 roadmap indicates improved co-op gameplay, matchmaking enhancements, new playable Tower Raid characters, advanced Community Maps support, the introduction of new firearm and melee weapon classes, as well as other graphical and technical improvements. Players can also expect complimentary gear and outfits.
The Future of Dying Light
In addition to revising existing titles, Techland has confirmed exciting expansions for the franchise.Dying Light: The Beast
, featuring the return of the franchise’s original protagonist Kyle Crane, is scheduled for release this coming summer. Furthermore, the developer hinted at the exploration of additional unannounced projects in the Dying Light universe, alongside plans for new board games, exclusive merchandise, and an original webcomic series.
