Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2: Investigation Quests Bug Acknowledged

On June 30, 2025, Capcom released Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds, but shortly after, the company recognized a significant bug affecting Investigation Quests. While the developers are aware of the issue, they informed players that it might take time to resolve, with a fix scheduled for patch 1.021, anticipated to launch in early August 2025.

Understanding the Bug’s Impact

This bug specifically alters the sizes of monsters encountered in Investigation Quests that were initiated prior to the update. As players load the game following the patch, they might notice discrepancies in monster sizes from these earlier quests. It is essential to note that any quests attempted after the implementation of the patch will not experience this issue.

Compensation for Affected Players

To express their regret over the situation, Capcom has announced an in-game compensation plan. In October 2025, all players will receive two specific bonuses as a form of apology. Each player will be granted 10 Heavy Armor Spheres, which are useful for enhancing gear, alongside 30, 000 Guild Points that can be utilized for various in-game functions, such as Investigations and Pop-Up Camps.

Availability and Upcoming Content

Monster Hunter Wilds is currently available on multiple platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. As players await the release of patch 1.021 in early August 2025 to address the Investigation Quest bug, they can look forward to another free title update expected by late September 2025.
