In Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, dungeons offer an exciting opportunity for players to boost experience points and gather valuable items. Accessed in Chapter 3 after establishing an Explorer, these dungeons are formed using maps obtained as loot or discovered during specific gameplay stages.
Once you recruit an Explorer and possess a map, you’re set to create and name your own Dungeons for exploration. Each dungeon presents a multi-floor combat challenge that does not restore your party’s health between battles, making it essential to include healing and mana-restoring characters in your lineup. As you navigate through the dungeon, you have the chance to gather new items, gain experience, and enhance the title associated with the dungeon, which in turn fortifies both the items and foes within.
Creating Your Dungeons
After unlocking the Explorer in Chapter 3, you can leverage the Create Dungeon feature. This functionality allows you to convert collected maps into dungeons, with the specific type of dungeon influenced by both the map employed and the level of your Explorer. For instance, the Pen Island Map can yield a dungeon populated with level 22 enemies across six floors. Notably, the enemy level indicated refers to the last floor in the dungeon.
Key Considerations When Selecting a Map:
- Map Type: Determines the terrain and types of enemies that inhabit the dungeon.
- Item Details: Displays potential items you might discover during your exploration and rewards achievable upon dungeon completion.
- Map Rarity: Affects the quality and level of items available, as well as the number of floors and the enemy level on the final floor.
Upon dungeon creation, you will have the opportunity to name it, which will apply to all enemies present and any items acquired as rewards. More details on this aspect will follow.
Understanding Dungeon Titles
Each dungeon title is generated alongside the dungeon and functions similarly to other titles by offering stat enhancements and various effects. The rarity of the map chosen determines the strength and rarity of the dungeon title; more uncommon maps yield superior titles. Furthermore, as you conquer each floor of the dungeon, the title grows more potent, leading to tougher enemies and greater rewards. This dynamic increases both the challenge and the payoff, making the endeavor highly worthwhile.
