Your approach to this quest can significantly influence your reputation within KCD2, particularly among both the nomadic community and the villagers of Semine. Locating Marika poses a challenge, and once you find her, there are further tasks to undertake. Below is a guide detailing the essential steps to successfully complete the Miri Fajta quest.

Locating Marika
To find Marika, you need to venture to a cave located in Appolonia. You can learn about her location by either exploring her tent and interacting with bystanders or by speaking with Bozhena, assuming you have completed the “Bad Blood”quest beforehand.
Travel southeast from Trosky Castle towards a sizable clearing, established by local woodcutters. From there, seek a path into the rocky formation, following the bloodstains visible on the cave walls. Marika is in the company of Bohush, her injured lover. Your immediate objectives involve:
- Finding medical supplies for Bohush
- Acquiring the amulet from the Voivode
Securing Medicine for Bohush
Visit Aranka, who will provide you with bandages and Marigold for Bohush. She will also advise you to collect some Comfrey as a precaution in case Bohush’s injuries are severe. You’ll find Comfrey at Troskowitz, specifically in the apothecary’s garden, adjacent to the guardhouse.
Retrieving the Amulet
The Voivode will agree to give you the amulet, but first, you must complete a couple of tasks for him: rescuing his son, Tibor, and burying his other son, Gezja. Both of these objectives will be marked on your map, though they require some effort and travel.
Rescuing Tibor
Tibor is imprisoned within Saddler’s barn in town. A guard is stationed at the entrance; based on your gameplay style, you may opt to bribe or persuade him to release Tibor. If you prefer to retain your money and reputation in Semine, navigate to the back of the barn and enter through an open window. Interact with the ropes binding Tibor’s hands to free him, then accompany him into the woods.
Burying Gezja
Gezja’s body is situated west of Semine, tied to a tree by woodcutters. To locate his remains, proceed to the edge of the forest adjacent to the woodcutters’ camp. Note that the tree is on private property, so you will either need to confront the woodcutters or negotiate with the foreman. After handling the woodcutters, follow the quest marker west and look for Tibor along the cliff’s edge.
Obtaining the Amulet and the Voivode’s Letter
Upon returning to the Voivode, inform him that you need the Letter of Safe Conduct from Marika in exchange for the amulet. Revisit Marika and let her know about the proposed exchange. She will direct you to the letter’s location, which is inside a tree near a stream close to the cave. Exit the cave, turn right, and descend into the valley. Look for the tall tree referenced above and inspect its trunk, where you will discover the hollow space containing the letter.
With the letter in hand, go back to the Nomad Camp. To secure the most favorable outcome, refrain from giving the letter to the Voivode immediately. Instead, converse with Tibor, who will suggest placing a bet with the Voivode to ensure you receive the amulet. Once the wager is made, you’ll compete against Tibor in a horse race and a fistfight. Prior to the competitions, consult Aranka, who can provide you with a substance to give you an edge over Tibor’s horse.
Winning the Horse Race
For competitive insight, here are Tibor’s horse statistics:
- Stamina: 166
- Speed: 42
- Courage: 28
You’ll likely need a stronger horse to come out on top in the race. Aim for a minimum of 150 Stamina, 30 Speed, and 15 Courage. Utilize the Head Start Horsemanship perk wisely to leverage shortcuts during the race. Don’t forget to administer the drug to Tibor’s horse as well; every advantage helps.
Quest Endings
For a successful conclusion to the quest, victory in the bet is crucial. If you do not defeat Tibor during the horse race, you’ll need to engage him in a fistfight in the Nomad Camp arena. Winning that brawl leads to a dice game against the Voivode. Succeed in two of these contests, and the Voivode will accompany you to Marika, culminating the quest in a festive atmosphere.
Failing to secure a win, however, results in the Voivode withholding the amulet, and Marika will decline to return to the village, bringing the quest to a disappointing close.
