Astro Bot Triumphs at DICE Awards 2025
Team Asobi’s Astro Bot has made an impressive mark at the DICE Awards 2025, securing five prestigious accolades, including Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Technical Achievement, Family Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, and the highly sought-after Game of the Year award.
This accomplishment adds to Astro Bot’s growing list of accolades, as it also clinched the Game of the Year award at both The Game Awards in December and the New York Game Awards last month. As of now, Astro Bot stands out as the frontrunner in 2024’s game releases in terms of Game of the Year awards across various outlets and organizations.
New Content and Updates
In an exciting development, the team has begun rolling out free additional content for Astro Bot. The new level, Tick-Tock Shock, is already available, and players can look forward to four more levels set to launch on the following dates:
- February 20: Thrust or Bust
- February 27: Cock-A-Doodle-Doom
- March 6: Hard to Bear
- March 13: Armored Hardcore
Moreover, Team Asobi has announced an upcoming PS5 Pro update for Astro Bot, which will provide players with an enhanced experience featuring 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

Apart from Astro Bot, other significant winners at the DICE Awards included Helldivers 2, which earned four awards: Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition, Outstanding Achievement in Audio Design, Action Game of the Year, and Online Game of the Year.
The independent title Balatro from LocalThunk took home three awards, namely Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game, and Mobile Game of the Year.
In addition, Black Myth: Wukong won accolades for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, while Metaphor: Refantazio was recognized as RPG of the Year.
Honoring individuals in the industry, Don Jones received the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Ted Price, former Insomniac founder and CEO, was inducted into the Hall of Fame following the announcement of the cancellation of the Resistance 4 project.
