Upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows Update: Version 1.0.5

Ubisoft Quebec is set to roll out a significant title update, version 1.0.5, for Assassin’s Creed Shadows on May 27, 2025. This update will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, introducing several exciting features and enhancements for players.

Accessibility of the ‘Thrown to the Dogs’ Quest

One of the key highlights of this update is the inclusion of the ‘Thrown to the Dogs’ quest, previously locked to pre-order customers. With this update, all players will gain access to this engaging quest, expanding the gameplay experience for the entire community.

Collaboration Event with Dead by Daylight

Additionally, Ubisoft has announced a special collaboration with the popular game Dead by Daylight. Players can look forward to a new quest inspired by the horror game, although details remain sparse. According to the patch notes, the quest’s narrative centers around Naoe, who investigates suspicious disappearances linked to a mysterious presence in the village of Harima. Players will need to utilize unique game mechanics to manage this formidable supernatural threat.

Smaller Collaboration with Balatro

Another collaboration worth mentioning is with the title Balatro. While this partnership does not introduce a dedicated quest, it does add thematic items to the game: a new trinket for Naoe and an amulet for Yasuke, both drawing inspiration from Balatro.

Improvements to the Parkour System

The update also brings significant enhancements to the parkour mechanics of the game. Players can now maintain sprinting while climbing up or down surfaces without needing to press sprint again, provided they do not change their directional inputs. Furthermore, Naoe and Yasuke have received a new ability; they can now make vertical jumps to grasp ledges, awnings, or overhangs, reducing reliance on vertical wall runs.

Enhanced Photo Mode Features

Ubisoft has not overlooked the creative aspects of gameplay, adding several features to the Photo Mode. Players will now have the ability to change the time of day for their snapshots and save custom filters, enabling more personalization in capturing their in-game moments.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
