Among these is the Idol of Violent Rebellion, which forms a crucial part of the Totem of Defiance quest set in the Emerald Stair region. Although many fragments are easily accessible, this particular one presents a bit more of a challenge to locate. Below, we provide a detailed guide to help you find this elusive totem fragment in Emerald Stair.

Finding the Idol of Violent Rebellion Totem Fragment in Avowed

The Idol of Violent Rebellion Totem Fragment is positioned on the roof of the Ranger Headquarters within the Emerald Stair region. This site is also where players first encounter Ranger Acierno, who initiates the Steel Resolve side quest. If you’re navigating from Fior Mes Iverno, head eastwards, and you won’t be far from the Truffle Farm point of interest.

Accessing the Roof of Ranger Headquarters

Upon arriving at the Ranger Headquarters, proceed to the right side of the building to locate a stack of boxes. Make your way over these boxes, then jump to grab a ledge that will allow you to climb the ladder to an upper section of the structure. Once you’re on top, execute a careful jump across the gap to reach a different part of the building.

Continue along the path to the left, where you’ll navigate over several platforms leading to the terrace of the Ranger Headquarters. From the terrace, take another left, leap across the gap until you find a ladder that leads to the rooftop. Ascend the ladder to finally obtain the Idol of Violent Rebellion from the roof.

Using the Idol of Violent Rebellion & Its Effects

After acquiring the totem fragment, you can either take your time descending the building or choose to fast-travel to a nearby camp. To activate its powers, place the Idol of Violent Rebellion Totem Fragment onto the Schemer’s Offering Totem Base. This activation enhances your damage output against skull-marked enemies.

For clarity, skull enemies represent a more formidable tier compared to regular foes found throughout Avowed. Additionally, bosses will bear a skull symbol next to their names, signifying that the effects of the totem will apply to them as well.
