Avowed Treasure Map Guide: Finding Dead Man’s Mail Location
In the expansive world of Avowed, players often acquire treasure maps through transactions with merchants. However, the quest for the Dead Man’s Mail takes a different turn, as the treasure map can be discovered while exploring the arid terrains of Shatterscarp. This region marks the third location for the Envoy and their companions, as they seek the elusive entrance to the Garden.
A notorious grave robber has crafted a set of armor imbued with Necromancy, claiming that whomever dons this mystical attire can tap into the powers of the deceased, turning the tides of battle. Unfortunately, the armor bears a strong odor of death, compelling its creator to conceal it until the foul smell dissipated.
How to Obtain the Treasure Map – Dead Man’s Mail in Avowed
While navigating the sands of Shatterscarp, players will eventually come across the Great Sand Sea. Specifically, look for an abandoned campsite located just northwest of the Sand Sea Oasis, beneath the letter “S”in “Sea.”Within one of the tents, a glowing skeleton can be found, along with valuable items, including the Treasure Map – Dead Man’s Mail.
The treasure map illustrates ruins, prominently featuring a bell tower to the left and a wooden crane in the center. Given the Great Sand Sea’s hostile desert environment, surrounded by rock formations and scattered oases, the treasure’s location is likely at Shark’s Teeth.
Locating the Treasure – Dead Man’s Mail in Avowed
To locate the treasure indicated on the Dead Man’s Mail map, travel to Shark’s Teeth and activate the Sharks Teeth Party Camp. From this vantage point, proceed westward and cross the nearby bridge, where you will notice a broken railing to your right. Ahead, you will see features resembling those on the treasure map. Descend the stairs, jump down to a broken column, climb it, and leap to the upper platform, where you will discover a chest containing the sought-after treasure.
By uncovering this treasure, you will acquire a unique piece of medium armor known as the Necropants. This armor comes with notable abilities:
Spectral Slave
Summon a Spectre to assist you in combat.
Poison-Proofed
Grants +30% resistance to Poison Accumulation.
The Necropants not only offer significant poison resistance but also the ability to summon an ally to fight alongside you briefly. Remember to gather materials to upgrade your armor, enhancing its durability and overall effectiveness in combat.
