Nintendo Switch 2 Pre-Order Details Revealed

Nintendo has recently provided fans with new information regarding its highly anticipated console, the Nintendo Switch 2. Initially, pre-orders were slated to commence on April 9, 2025. However, this was postponed for customers in the United States due to concerns over tariffs implemented by the Trump Administration that could impact the pricing and availability of the device.

New Pre-Order Date Announced

After careful consideration, Nintendo has set a new pre-order date for U. S.customers, which will be available starting April 24, 2025. This announcement brings some clarity to eager fans ahead of the scheduled release on June 5, 2025.

“We apologize for the retail pre-order delay, and hope this reduces some of the uncertainty our customers may be experiencing, ”the company stated.“We thank our customers for their patience, and we share their excitement to experience Nintendo Switch 2 starting June 5, 2025.”

No Price Increase for Console

Despite initial fears regarding a potential price increase due to tariffs, Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch 2 will launch at the previously announced price of $449.99. The deluxe bundle featuring Mario Kart World will also maintain its price point of $499.99. Furthermore, the pricing of popular games remains stable; for instance, Mario Kart World is set at $79.99, while Donkey Kong Bananza will retail for $69.99.

Accessory Price Changes

In contrast, there will be an increase in the prices of Switch 2 accessories, primarily driven by adjustments in market conditions. Many accessories will see a $5 increase, while the Dock Set’s price will rise by $10.
