In a noteworthy segment of the livestream, producer Naoki Yoshida and creative director Kazutoyo Maehiro formally introduced the Xbox Series X and Microsoft Store versions of Final Fantasy XVI, which are now accessible to players. They encouraged individuals who have yet to experience the game to take advantage of this opportunity. After outlining the various platforms where Final Fantasy XVI is currently available, Yoshida playfully noted that “Nintendo-san” is the only platform left to explore, prompting laughter from the staff as they vowed to “do their best” in this endeavor.

Historical Context: Previous Rumors of a Switch Port

This isn’t the first time speculation around a Switch port of a Final Fantasy title has surfaced. Back in 2017, Hajime Tabata, a former Square Enix figure, addressed similar rumors pertaining to a Final Fantasy XV port for the Switch.
