Universal Pictures is set to revitalize one of SEGA’s classic franchises, as they collaborate with acclaimed director Michael Bay and rising star Sydney Sweeney on a film adaptation of the iconic 1980s arcade game, Out Run.

According to a recent report from Deadline, Bay will direct the adaptation, while Sweeney will take on a producer role alongside her producing counterpart Brad Fuller. The screenplay is being penned by Jayson Rothwell. Although there is potential for Sweeney to star in the film, her primary focus is currently on production.
