In My Summer Car, the core vehicle assembly gameplay is complemented by essential survival mechanics, such as managing hunger and trust. These mechanics add a layer of difficulty that challenges players to be vigilant about their survival needs. As time progresses in the game, players must address their hunger and thirst, which can significantly impact their experience. Neglecting these necessities can lead to dire consequences, including a fatal game over.

Acquiring and Consuming Food

At the start of the game, your kitchen refrigerator is stocked with a variety of food items. However, as you progress, it’s critical to restock your supplies, as they will deplete over time. You can purchase essential food items—such as sausages, milk, sugar, and coffee—from Teimo’s shop or Pub Nappo using in-game currency.

For beginners who may have limited funds, it’s advisable to focus on stocking up on sausages, which are the most economical food option available. Once food is secured, simply pick it up and press the F key on your keyboard to consume it. Successfully eating will alleviate your hunger; however, be cautious, as both overeating and starvation can lead to your demise in the game.

In addition to shopping for food, players can also engage in cooking. You can gather ingredients by catching moose or fishing in the nearby lake, then grill the meat to satisfy your hunger. Keep in mind, though, that perishable items like fish, moose meat, pasta, pizza, sausages, and milk have a limited shelf life. Although storing food in your refrigerator extends its freshness, it’s vital to monitor these items closely, as spoiled food cannot be consumed and must be discarded as waste.

Obtaining and Drinking Water

Hydration is just as essential as nutrition in My Summer Car. The most convenient way to quench your thirst is by using the faucet in your kitchen. To drink water, click the faucet to turn it on, then press Q to reach out and take a drink. This will hydrate you, allowing you to focus on your ongoing tasks without the distraction of thirst.

Aside from drinking plain water, players can also hydrate with milk, juice, vodka, beer, spirits, kilju, and other beverages, each of which helps alleviate hunger and thirst to varying degrees. For those who spend a lot of time traveling or driving long distances, it’s wise to carry an empty bottle to refill with water, ensuring you remain hydrated during those hot summer days.
