Prospecting Modifiers

Modifiers alter the appearance and chemistry of your found minerals, applying a multiplier value enhancer to them. This increases your earnings when selling and aids in forging higher-tier equipment.

  • Shiny: 1.2x
  • Pure: 1.35x
  • Glowing: 1.6x
  • Scorching: 2x
  • Irradiated: 2.5x
  • Iridescent: 3.5x

How To Get Modifiers

Modifiers appear naturally as you’re panning for minerals across any terrain; however, there are ways to increase your encounter odds if you’re looking to money-farm using them. This includes:

  • Pans – Your primary tool sometimes comes pre-built with a Modifier boost. That said, I still recommend focusing on Luck potential when Pan shopping.
    • Meteoric Pan (Fortune Town) – +0.25 Modifier Boost
    • Diamond Pan (Fortune Town) – +0.1 Modifier Boost
    • Aurora Pan (Crystal Cavern) – +0.25 Modifier Boost
  • Enchanting – You can Enchant your pan by the altar nestled between Rubble Creek Deposits and Fortune River in hopes of receiving a Modifier Boost
    • Unstable (2% chance) – +25% Modifier Boost
  • Equipment – This is one of the best ways to stack stats across the entire game. Each Equipment listed for its Modifier boost likely provides more than just that.
    • Smoke Ring (Ring) – Modifier Boost 5-15%
    • Opal Amulet (Necklace) – Modifier Boost 0-90%
    • Guiding Light (Charm) – Modifier Boost 0-45%
    • Lightkeeper’s Ring (Ring) – Modifier Boost 5-25%
    • Celestial Rings (Necklace) Modifier Boost 20-140%
    • Prismatic Star (Ring) Modifier Boost 5-20%

Is Money Farming Using Modifiers Efficient?

Not really. I prefer to stack my Luck and aim for rarer minerals. Since you find Modifiers with relative ease anyway, they’re not an essential thing to farm if you’re looking to get rich quickly. It’s no use farming Modified Minerals if all you’re unearthing are commons and uncommons.
