Type Soul Black Elixir Guide

The Black Elixir is a Mythical rarity item, meaning it’s not the easiest to obtain. When on hand, the Black Elixir item converts a player’s current Ultra Skill to an item. Once itemised, a player might use or trade it with another player. One of the drawbacks to this is that it does not itemise Formless or Yamato, and if you attempt to use it on these items, the Black Elixir will be used up without a refund.

Ultra Skills:

  • Thousand Deaths (Hakuda)
  • Black Flash (Hakuda)
  • Orlando Furioso (Kendo)
  • Judgement of the Sword (Kendo)
  • Serum W (Speed)
  • Gerechtigkeit (Quincy Kido)
  • Lightning Shunko (Despite not being an Ultra Skill!)

To get your hands on a Black Elixir, you will either need to participate in Clan Wars or Trade for this item. Trading might be easier as the item is Mythical, so it has a low drop rate. However, this entirely depends on the types of players you meet and what they want in exchange for their Black Elixir item.

Powered Black Elixir

To upgrade the Black Elixir, talk with the Myrnite NPC within the greenhouses/glasshouses within Karakura Town. In exchange for 350k Kan and your Black Elixir, she will give you a Powered Black Elixir. This upgraded Black Elixir transforms a player’s current Fighting Style into an item. Once itemised, a player might use or trade it with another player.

The only way to get the Powered Black Elixir is through trading or speaking to the Myrnite NPC. If you already have the Black Elixir, it works out more efficiently to farm for the 350k Kan and speak to the NPC. If trading, players will expect a higher demand for the Powered Black Elixir versus obtaining it themselves.
