99 Nights in the Forest Blue Campfire

Did you know you can change the colour of the campfire’s flames to blue? This colour change isn’t just for the aesthetic, though, as it serves another purpose!

How to Unlock Blue Campfire

The easiest way to unlock the Blue Campfire is by obtaining the Event Badges. As of right now, there are two tasks you must complete to obtain Blue Flames:

  • Build 50 structures
  • Cook 50 dishes at the Chef’s Station or Crock Pot

After completing these tasks, you earn 3 Blue Flames and 5 Diamonds each. So, in total, you can get 6 Blue Flames! Once you obtain them, you can open the Rewards window by clicking the trophy icon on the right of your screen. Then, click the Fire tab, which is next to the Furniture tab. This is where you can equip the Blue Flames!

What Does Blue Campfire Do?

Before you start a round, make sure to equip the Blue Flame, which you can find in your inventory. Yes, this does mean that the Blue Campfire is limited by the number of Blue Flames you have. When equipped, a pop-up appears on the left of your screen, detailing what the Blue Fire does.

When the campfire is blue, and it rains, the campfire is reduced at a much slower pace. As you know, rain usually depletes the campfire pretty quickly, getting rid of a lot of your progress when using fuel, logs, and coal. The faster you level up the campfire, the more of the map you unlock, and the easier it is to progress through the game.

There is no way to protect the campfire from the rain. It’s not clear whether the Blue Campfire protects the flames from the Blizzard or Snow weather events, though.
