Due to some misfortunate turn of events, ESL switches the venue for the upcoming WC3L Finals.
With the freezing weather hitting China and a broken heating system in the current venue, ESL took a step to prevent the bad enviroment that otherwise would occure.
This WC3L Finals, claimed to be the last returning 5-man tournament, sees last minute changes as the venue has been changed. A good move from the ESL officials as the heating system in the old venue is broken, and the new venue is not more than a bit away.
Just like before, Chengdu, China, is the host city, and the new venue goes under the name "China Ping-Pong International Center".
The prize money remains at 20,000,- € and the event takes place at January 11th & 12th 2009.
