The 40 players that started in the WCG Norway qualifier at the Gathering 2008 Thursday has been reduced to 2. The only match left is a final clash between HenL and TargA.

[s]event_223[/s] The second seeded HenL went through the tournament undefeated and entered the Grand Finals after beating TargA with a 2-1 score in the winner bracket finals. TargA had to fight his way back in up by winning the consolation finals in two games versus the third seeded GamlaSonn.

With the ticket to represent Norway at the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Germany coming November on the line we will see TargA entering the stage tomorrow with the mission to defeat HenL twice. In a reaction the Nightelf player from Stavanger, Norway gives his thoughts about his performance so far.

“ Pretty much as expected, since I lost my net a month before the gathering and got it back 2 days before the gathering I haven’t practiced whatsoever and I doubt gamlasonn has practiced, so HenL who actually have practiced won me hasuobs style. I know I’m playing way under my level and that’s sad.”

When the players meet each other in the winner bracket finals it was HenL who showed the most quality and took the match. TargA is short about what he will change in the Grand finals, compared to the winner bracket finals, to try to win HenL this time. "Not let him get expand and 50 towers to guard it."

Furthermore, TargA doesn’t seem to be tempted from the Gathering atmosphere and blames most of it to the high volume of other visitors music.

“ It’s sick, 5000 geeks bringing their stereo and play the shittiest techno music u can imagine. Over all I’m pretty much looking forward to come home where its quiet, but again the gathering has its charm the first 2 hours u are here.”
In addition TargA provided us with several replays from the Gathering event itself. Click here to download them.
