Fnatic underwent some great losses during the last WC3L season, players such as elfittaja and Naniwa left the team during the season. Now, with the regular season being over, fnatic might have to announce the loss of three great players again: XyLigan, SatIini and Rob.
Quo vadis fnatic?
Fnatic finished the season on the tenth rank, and therefore has to face 4K in the playdowns. This became almost impossible today, as the Russians XyLigan and Rob aswell as the key player of fnatic - Satiini - obviously left the team. Rotterdam, fnatics team captain, did not want to comment on this yet, but if you take a look into their WC3L profile you will see them missing.
The two russians have been very important to fnatic, playing almost every 2on2 aswell as in solo matches for their team. Satiini was ranked second in the WC3L player statistics and scored several points for his team, he could be seen as the most important player fnatic had. This leaves fnatic with only three players, namely Rotterdam, Abver and DieSeL, but Abver has not played a single WC3L match for fnatic this season.
It's not sure what the players are going to do, but it looks like they will easily find new teams that are participating WC3L. The Russians are said to go to NRWS, although this is only speculations so far. Fnatic on the other hand looks almost dead and it's hard to see them coming back for the next season, but let's see if they can react and handle this unlucky situation or if they maybe step back from WarCraft 3 completely.
We are trying to get some more information aswell as a statement for you, stay tuned!
Update: The WC3L playdown match against the Four Kings now has been set to a default win for 4K. This step was quite clear, let's see if fnatic will do a comeback at the qualifier.
