There have been rumours, and we know there are more than only rumours by now. Fisch, one of the front figures in the best German WarCraft 3 team, says that the rumours are true. SK-Gaming's German WarCraft 3 section will exist no longer - not in the form it does now.
Only a bit more than a week ago, SK-Gaming decided to lay down their German Counter-Strike section. This because they were not able to support the team as much as they deserved, plus that teams in Germany are too instable. This was announced right the team ended on fourth place in the ESL Pro Series.
For the WarCraft 3 team, we might just see the same thing happening. The team managed to stay put in the WC3L by winning against Team NoA and hoorai in the playdown. Was this all for nothing? Will the team disband, or will we see them in a new form? Where will we see Fire, Miou, Fisch and XlorD in the next season?
One scenario is to move some of the best players back to the international squad. Or will the team be in its same state only under another organization? When Fisch was asked, he was not sure of his future.
- I'm not sure if I will continue to play for SK yet, because it's not sure at the moment.
Update:
Fire posted in the SK-Gaming forums about what is going on:
At the moment our team only consists of four active players. Fisch, Miou, Xlord and me.
Atom isnt really active at all. I think he plays in the EAS (German League), but he has only played in one cw for our team in the last 2 months.
Otherwise ReaL had problems with his modem, but I dont think he has become any more active in the meantime.
So actually we only have 4 players which can play and thats not enough for a team to compete in WC3L and NGL, because each player has to play every single cw, which is just too much.
I cant really say how the future of our players will be, but I am sure it will be a positive development.
