This event looks especially promising as the players are diverse in their races unlike the Asia's where a dominance of the Undead Scourge was seen. We also had reported on the alleged cheating incident that was held and after the cheating incident that was reported » here we found out that from the original list certain players, namely Devon and n(o_o)bs have been removed and Ciara has been given a place in the tournament previously being just short of the cut off. Another player not many have heard of is elfittaja who went by the nickname tt_tt to qualify for the season. It seems that many of the Russians, Deadman, Happy and Titan won't be attending the tournament either. The top 6 players from Asia and Europe go through and the top 4 from America, where they will play the grand offline finals, the location and date of which is to be announced soon.
GosuGamers caught up with srs.Zerter who was kind enough to share with us his prediction on who he thinks will get through round 1 and why.
Zerter's Predictions
Group A
Group A should be between SaSe, RotterdaM and Ciara. GlaiVe is a strong player, but this is just a level too high for him and I dont see Protois beating two of Europe's strongest Orc's. Based on past results, RotterdaM should come on top versus both Ciara and SaSe. Nevertheless, all three of them are very close in skill level and the spots could go to either two of them
Group B
Group B's number one spot is definitely reserved for 4K^ToD with the Bulgarians DIDI8, Insomnia and Shocker competing for the number two spot (I dont know elfittaja). Shocker has been showing a lot of improvement the past few months, but I dont he'll be challenging DIDI8 or Insomnia yet. Between the two of them its a coin toss, it could definitely go either way.
Group C
Group C sees 4K^Grubby taking number one, with the competition for number two being wide open. Creolophus and Giacomo are definitely the more experienced players, but it would not be the first time either LiiLD.C or DieSeL upset on a offline tournament. I give Giacomo the biggest chance to pass based on past results, and DieSeL the smallest. But all four of them could take it really
Group D
Group D is definitely the most interesting group, with a lot of competitors for both spots. The only player I dont see having much chance of passing is Konna, he's just in over his head with this one. The other four players can all beat eachother on any given day. It will be interesting to see how Satiini does at his first international tournament and if Zeus[19] has returned to shape after his computer being down.
