Sweden is ranked first, no too surprisingly. Germany comes second, and then France and Bulgaria. These plus two more teams will have to wait til the main rount to play. Full rankings below!

After announcing the prize money and the format, ESL now reveals the ranking for the participating nations in the European Nations Cup (ENC). The rankings consist of all the three previous seasons, where one win is rewarded three points and a draw one point.

Sweden is ranked first with 19 points ahead of the runner-up, Germany. Sweden is the only team to have won the European Nations Cup, and have therefore gotten themselves quite a number of points

Notice the numbers after the points. These are to show that ENC put the newest results in focus.
- We weighted the seasons 2004 with 1/3, 2005 with 2/3 and 2006 with 3/3 of the whole sum. That makes clear that we care about what the teams did in the past but also focus on the the nearer past to give our ranking a clearer view to be as near as can be to the real strength of every nation, you can read at the ESL site.
