Fnatic are now one series win away from qualifying to the Bracket Stage after their 2-0 win over GAM Esports.

Day two of the Mid-Season Invitational kickstarted with the series between Fnatic and GAM Esports, which the former won rather convincingly to put themselves one series win away from qualifying to the Bracket Stage. It was largely a comfortable win for Fnatic, who will now await the winner between LOUD and Top Esports in the upper bracket final of Group B.

As for GAM, they will now have to win two best-of-three series in order to qualify to the next round. Despite falling short against Fnatic, GAM still has a chance. They will face the loser in the next series of Group B and if they can win that series, will go on to the lower bracket final where they will face the team that lost the upper bracket final.

This was Fnatic's first-time on the MSI stage since 2018 and they have managed to not look out of place after the first two matches of the tournament. In game one against GAM, Fnatic showed just what the LEC have been working on over the last few months as the likes of Iván “Razork” Martín Díaz was able to stomp his way through the jungle with Vi as he had a hand in 18 of the team's 27 total kills.

Razork had the most kills amongst anyone on Fnatic with 10, which goes to show the sheer dominance of the LEC second seed has. Aside from him, Marek “Humanoid” Brázda brought out Hwei on the international stage to go with his nine kills and 13 assists. All this, despite GAM being able to steal the Baron, Fnatic was still able to see out the victory in game one.

In the second match, the bottom lane duo of Hyeon-taek “Noah” Oh and Se-joon “Jun” Yoon stuck with the Xayah and Rakan combo and it turned into another bloodbath for Fnatic. While Noah was able to contribute massively with six kills and ten assists, Jun ended the match with 21 assists along with a sole death. Even with GAM's constant pressure, Fnatic were able to brush them aside with clinical teamfight executions.

Humanoid would have another great game, this time with Taliyah as he walked away with 13 kills to go with five assists and five deaths. If he and the rest of Fnatic are able to keep these performances up, they have a real chance of contesting in the Bracket Stage.

But first, they will have to wait and see who walks away a winner between LOUD and Top Esports.
