The CEG stop in Xi'an was played during the weekend. It was mostly Chinese players participating, but we could also find a bunch of Koreans and two players from Europe; Yoan "ToD" Merlo and Kim "SaSe" Hammar. Another notable participation was the female player Colagirl, who was the first female ever to be invited to the event.
The tournament started off with a group stage, which was played in "best of 1" mode, consisting of 8 groups in total. Two players advanced from every group and headed on to the playoffs. With many good players participating it was not a walk in the park to advance. For example, players like Moon, Susiria and suhO were knocked out in the tournament's group stage.
The playoff contained 16 of the best players in the world, such as Zacard, Sweet and Lucifer. However, none of these three players managed to take home the title. It went to another Korean player - ReMinD. Going through the bracket without losing a single map he faced xiaOt in the grand final, who managed to beat ReMinD in the group stage. This time the Korean Night Elf-player showed no remorse and took xiaOt down with 2-1. A third place decider game was played aswell between the two players being knocked out in the semi finals; Sky and Sweet. Sky proved why he is considered to be one of the best in the world when defeating Sweet with 2-1.
