Recently, the Republic of Moldova hosted their first WCG Preliminary in the history of the country. The winner of the WarCraft III tournament will be given a ticket to Singapore to compete in the WCG Grand Finals.



In the past couple years, the Republic of Moldova was one of the only countries in Europe without a WarCraft III community. However, times have changed, and now gaming community is growing larger each day. Many of the countries best players came out to compete: og.CSG.Sin, og.CSG.Shadow, og.Blade, and CSG.Ma3au. Even though, the community is one of the smallest in Europe they have had a huge growth in the popularity of e-sports with many potential sponsors.

Since the e-sport scene in the country is still at its early stage, they would only be able to send one player to Singapore. This was a very important event to most of the players because it was the first in their history.
