After another successful year for the DreamHack organization, the first details of DreamHack Open 2015 have now been revealed.

Dreamhack has announced their first tournament of the year with the Dreamhack Open 2015 at Dreamhack Tours 2015. The details released include a Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament with a $40,000 prize pool, as well as a $25,000 Starcraft 2 tournament. These will start May 8th, and will finish on the 10th.

Tomas Lyckedal, Head of eSports at DreamHack, wrote a statement on the organization’s official website, referring his hope for 2015 as an extraordinary year for CS:GO and his happiness to share this event directly with the French community. You can expect several announcements in the near future, including the format, additional stops, sponsors and information on how to sign up to play in the tournaments.

Jean-Christophe Arnaud, CEO of the coordinator company behind the event:

“After the outstanding welcome from the french gaming community regarding the opening of four big LAN tournaments in CS:GO, StarCraft II, Hearthstone and League of Legends, hosting the first stop of the DreamHack Open 2015 is an honor and a priceless occasion to celebrate the coming of the Dreamhack in France.
