ESWC is knocking on the door. With only a few days left, the seedings were announced. Seedings is an important feature in tournaments, and can sometimes be fully understandable, but also totally confusing for some. The ESWC administration decided to seed with putting three different pools - high, medium and low. The seedings are based on the two previous editions of Electronic World Sports Cup. Also, the player who won its nation qualifier will be ranked the highest.

1 high, 1 medium, 1 low, 6 unseeded

The groups will be put together by adding one player from the high-seed pool, one from medium-seed pool and one from low-seed pool, and then fill them up with 6 non-seeded players, to reach the 9 player quota. This draw will be made random and will take place 5th of July to determine the groups.

Sweden and Korea seeded high, and no Grubby in the seed

As Sweden (SK.HeMaN) and Korea (4K.FoV) were the the two previous champions, the Swedes and the Koreans were seeded high - three Koreans and two Swedes in the high-seeded pool, and additionally one Korean in the medium-seeded pool. It is also quite interesting that 4K.Grubby did not get a seed at all. Reason for this is that he was defeated by play`Zerter in the qualifier, who now instead takes Netherlands' only seed.
