Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen will not have the chance to lead and play for Netherlands in the ENC finals at GamesCom as it coincides with the tournament at BlizzCon.
"Of course I am extremely disappointed in not being able to play and perhaps winning ENC with Netherlands for the first time ever," says Grubby who has been looking into the possibility of playing in both. But when checking flights he realised it was technically impossible.
"I'm also disappointed in ESL that they chose to hold ENC at the same time as BlizzCon. I just find it hard to believe that there would not be any alternatives which make sure all the qualifying players could attend," says Grubby and brings up examples of Spain losing LucifroN should they had qualified, and Russia losing Nicker.
Netherlands will have to cope without their star player against Denmark, but it will be a difficult task. "I was an important point scorer in this system, so it's kinda unfair they have to go without me."
