The online Chinese tourmament brand is looking to end on October 1st with a fight between two of the finest Protoss players: Liquid`HerO and SKT's PartinG. $10,000 first place prize are on the line, another $2,000 going to the runner-up.

The league that bagan all the way in late August is walking towards its end. In the first day of the month, a PvP will decide who will the first "league" champion (as opposed to the previous two "cup" champions of StarsWar.

The first StarsWar-branded SC2 tournament was held back in 2011 when MC dominated the Ro32 single elimination bracket to ascend as the champion over Chinese Protoss LoveCD, beating him 4:1 in the finals. After more than a year of break, StarsWar returned in June 2012 for a short, four-man invitational which crowned an Asian once again in iG's MacSed.

As StarsWar eventually developed into a fully-grown league in August 2013, a brand new format was introduced. Paired in four groups, the sixteen players went through a Bo2 round robin, the top two of each group moving on to the single elimination playoffs. Said playoffs began September 25th and since then, there have been BoX series each day.

With the completion of the second semi final last night, the tournament is now down to just two players: HerO and PartinG. The SKT ace is thus far undefeated in the tournament in maps and has scoreboarded a 11-0 record. Meanwhile, while his opponent started similarly in the group stage, he had to go through some rough matches in the playoffs, taking a 2:1 over Jim in QFs and 3:2 over Korea champion Maru in SFs.

The final clash of StarsWar league will be a Bo7 between the mighty Protosses, the better of the two banking a five-digit reward of $10,000.
