Jarek "Yayba" Pociecha is one of the finalists in the GosuCup finals, and will be taking on Sasha "ALF" Yatsenko in the finals. When GosuGamers caught up with Yayba before the finals, he had this to say:

Why do you think the playoffs were so Zerg-dominated? Did you feel the map pool favoured Zerg players?

- To be honest I have no idea why there were so many zergs, I was very suprised when I saw tournament tree. I think that most top protoss players just didn't take part in this competition and that's why playoffs were so heavily dominated by zergs. Also it's true that maps were very good for zerg, but for me worse was there there were old for me, I didn't practice maps like RH or athena for long time so it was preatty bad for me to play on this maps.

“I started playing more aggressive against zergs, also I think my harass with units like dt, reaver or corsair is better then before”Did all your Zerg opponents play similar, or did you have to adapt to the situations and play differently? Chosen compared to Hippie or DIMAGA for example...

- Yes, my first opponent was Chosen, I knew he usually plays hydras vs protoss so I tried to play more safety aginst him, maybe without our match on Othello. I didn't know Hippie before so could't decided how to play vs him, so I played preatty standard tactics. The hardest opponent was Dimaga who in my opinion has very good ZvP. I knew I have to play very aggressive against him. Also I remembered our match in ESC vs ROX which I lost then, so I wanted take a revange for him. Last time I took my PvZ much better then before and Im happy I could improve it in this competition.

What aspects in your PvZ have improved? What key points can you see that you have excelled in?

- First, I started playing more aggressive against zergs, also I think my harass with units like dt, reaver or corsair is better then before and those units can make big damage to zerg.

“I knew he [Chosen] usually plays hydras vs protoss so I tried to play more safety aginst him, maybe without our match on Othello”How well do you think you stand against ALF? I see no previous encounters between you two - have you met each other before?

- I don't remember when we played with each other so I can't say how good I will stand against him. I hope I will take this match, nothing more.

Will you prepare in any special way?

-I don't think so, maybe I will watch some reps of alf vs protoss but nothing more, I will train like always, nothing special.

Okay, you have a chance to send a greeting to your opponent on Monday, is there anything you want to say?

- Just let's make a good show! (laughs)
