The bombshell from China, Fnatic, takes on Riders on the Storm tonight in the BWCL Cup finals. The Czech Republic team are the reigning champions, but will have a hard time defending their title.



The Czech players in Riders of the Storm took out Virtual Terror in the semi final, while Fnatic had to go through Fellowship of Starcraft in order to reach the finals.

The odds for tonight's match heavily speak for Fnatic, and even the Czech Repulic team leader KrOOdeR admits it's going to be tough.
"Fnatic is a very strong team and we can beat them only with BIG luck... It will be very hard to secure our title," says KrOOdeR and predicts that they will lose by a 1-4 score.

Could become their first team title


Fnatic's manager, Ash, says that his team is very motivated to win this tournament. Not only because it will give them a direct spot in the second division of BWCL, but also because it could become their first momentum as a team.

"it may seem to be a normal title for most top teams out there but this is the first team title for us ever since we've formed and I can tell you that it is going to be the most meaningful title for us due to it being the first title we are gonna achieve after all of us started to play as a team," says Ash to GosuGamers. "All the players are highly motivated and are ready to give them their best tonight."

The BWCL Cup format includes three individual matches, one 2on2 and one 3on3 game. Fnatic's seasoned manager, has not yet tried out the 3on3 format in BWCL, because they have always beaten their opponents with either 3-0 or 3-1.

"Would be better for us to avoid 3on3"


"I've told them that it would be better for us to avoid it at all cost since we're not so familar with it compared to the others," admits Ash, and hopes they can finish the match off after the 1on1 game, or in 2on2.

Chinese gamers mostly equals bad ping, but Ash says his players do not have that much problems. However, getting 6 players from different countries in the same game is still a big headache, thinks Ash.

"I think 3on3 is not so suitable for a league cup like this since it doesn't really represent the skills of a particular team," says Ash.
