BWCL season XXXI has now hit its half season mark, and the results are starting to get interesting. This week we had the first 6-0 win for the season, which means that mTw reduces MYM's lead, something that has not happened in a long time.

MYM is still going strong, taking down former second place fuSion with an impressive 5-1 score, solidifying their lead for the fifth week. Still going undefeated they are the undistuputed favourites for this season's gold. During the same week we had an American derby, where NrG. showed that they are the strongest team in BWCL wearing an American flag, something that can easily be seen on the standings table below too.
The two nation based teams NaW and ZZZ played a draw again, making it NaW's third draw out five matches. This goes to show how even the skill level is in BWCL overall, even if it might not look like it sometimes.
The results from the sixth week are very interesting. For the first time this season a team scored a 6-0 win, and that was mTw over VT. This means that MYM only holds a four point lead over mTw, who solidified their second place with this victory. Taking the first 6-0 win is an impressive feat. It should noted that mTw have already taken their mandatory beat up from MYM this season, so they are looking like a strong second place when half the season has been played.
However not all matches have been played between n!faculty and Meet Your Makers, and with two matches still to go MYM has a chance of snatching a few more points there. If, although unlikely, faculty takes those two games we might get an unexpected fight for the first place.
In the Russia vs USA match, fuSion vs NrG., Russia came out on top with a surprisingly decisive 4-1 victory. They show that they have not been knocked out of the competition after losing 5-1 to MYM last week.
This leaves the current standing when half the season is done with MYM comfortably on the top with 27 points, followed by mTw at 23 points. Another five points down we find faculty and fuSion. The first and second place have fortified their positions well and the closest fight seem to be for the third place.
Looking at the bottom of the table it also gest interesting. The four last places will fall out of division 1 after the season is over. DiE and VT are in no good position at all for the moment, and it does look like they will fall out of the division. However, above them there are four clans, separated by only one point in total, desperately trying to hang on. Only two of those four will stay for the next season, and they know it.
