Last year you received a lot of critique for your WCG final performance, taking it so lightly. What is your take on this year's final?

- More of the same. I've not enjoyed StarCraft for many years and the last 2 years have only played it just before WCG times. I will probably play a little bit more before than finals than last year, but don't expect me to be advancing from any group other than the absolute easiest groups.

Then why do you take part in the WCG qualifiers? Can you understand the critique given to you?

- Of course I can understand, but at the end of the day, even if I'm at 50% I'm still the best in the country, if nobody else can do better then they shouldn't complain, it's their fault they're not good enough, not my fault for taking advantage of a possible free trip to another country where I can meet guys I've known online and liked for many years.

What did you think of Kwark's performance against you in the final? Did he surprise you taking a game off of you?

- Hm, before the games I felt kinda nervous. Me and him have had some kind of rivalry and have talked some trash here and there about who is better etc since UK WCG 2007 where he took a game from me. I didn't really know what to expect from his skill, but I knew i wasn't going to play my best and was not surprised to lose a game given how I played.

Blue Storm was one sided and I felt a little better at that point, Troy is a ridiculous P>Z map and I expected to lose that one. I don't think I played that well in that game but his build order didn't really take advantage of the map so I was able to win there despite everything. At that point, despite doing nothing good myself I just expected 3:0, played terribly in the 3rd game on Othello and he took full advantage.

That game he definitely played well. I think the 3 games I won was Kwark's "fault" more than my good player, but having said that he is capable of playing well and I don't mean to call him bad or anything.

Have you been to Cologne before? What are you expectations of your trip?

- Nah I've never been to Germany. My expectations are to be drunk every day there, with the exclusion of the day before my games. I expect a lot of fun hanging around with people like Mondragon, ret, Twisted from ToT and hopefully some more ToT players and people that I've met before. Also will be nice to hang around with people I haven't met before too, see if they are how I expect them to be based on their online persona etc. Basically I just expect fun.

If Steelheart qualifies for WCG again, would you like to have him in your group this year as well, seeing as he was in your group both in 2005 and 2007?

- I have 0 preferences on who I play in the finals. I'll play whoever I have to, and I will try in the games. it's not like I'm just throwing the games, in which case the rest of the UK community would have a real reason to be pissed off with my actions.
