Today, in a post to the TeamLiquid forums, Manifesto announced the arrival of TLTour, the website's new ladder. A beta is planned to be launched at the end of the month.
The announcement, which contains a history of TLTour from 2003 until now, states that the beta season will run until the end of May this year, after which the first full season will be launched. The beta season will bring five players a shot at the season one finals.
Manifesto also makes it clear that the first season will not be a paid event, with prizes funded by the site. "It is our hope that with this new system of gaming and a free entry, we will become a long lasting institution." He goes on to describe the ladder as a 'community project', built with the cooperation of TL.net forum members, and various others such as WGTour and TAL.
However, further details remain unknown, although the statement promises a slow release of information over the upcoming week. This will include a website, FAQ and map pool.
