The BWCL is the oldest clan league outside Korea with its 24 finished seasons. With four divisions and 180 teams participating it's also the largest clan league in Europe. It was started as a German clan league, which you can see if you take a look at the teams right now, beacuse again there are many German teams in the league.
If we look at the teams, we only have six teams without the German flag, which really takes you back to the good old days when this league wasn't the biggest one in Europe.

#5 Infernal Gamers iG.15pIn the lead we have the expanding team Excello, which has been bringing home titles and wins everywhere the last couple of weeks, taking down almost anything in its way. Excello now also supports the former Polish progamer Draco since he got home from Korea. In second place is the Czech Deomlation Squad, who you most likely have heard a lot about too, being in almost every known clan league in Europe.
In third and fourth place we have the only team from outside of Europe, team Light, and the Germans of Deutschlands kranke Horde. The Americans is ranked #115 in our database and have also been seen in the WGT Clan League. DkH is one of the most well known clans in Germany. If you don't count Templars of Twilight, many would even say they are the best team in Germany.
The second Czech team SkyRiders has been playing very well against the more well-known teams this season, but their wins against yb and ioG have taken them high up, sharing fifth place with the European team infernal Gamers. iG is to be seen in many leagues, and many seasons of the BWCL. Still, they haven't been winning that many titles, but hopefully they will soon, as they have many great names on their roster, such as narutO and NbA.

The whole team joined up with the nWo organisation not too long ago and it was the organisation that decided to sponsor the BWCL cup with 100€. They're sharing their spot with the old German BWCL winners aeterna societas honoris, ash~. Right after them, with two points less another German team is found, DiE. In the beginning it was all German, but as Germany lacks new young talented players they have started to recruit international players.
In tenth place we find Wild 4 Sports and young Blood, another two German based clans, which both have been in the first division before. Just like the other Germans, yB has started to recruit international players, and are hoping for a new rise of the clan. The last and twelfth place is being held by ioG, the old home of Avi-Love and 3D.u3, but after losing a lot of good players, they're not doing very well, hence the position in the league.
This week's matches will be played at Gaia, and here are the matchups:

A couple of weeks ago, the new season of the BroodWar Clan League kicked off, and after six weeks we thought it might be nice to write a little recap of the past few weeks, as well as the teams.
