The ESL flagship tournament finds its way back to Latin America to once again bring some of the best players to the southern hemisphere. While details of the League of Legends tournament are already available, StarCraft 2 fans have to remain patient.
Enthusiasts of the electronic sports from the South American subcontinent can mark the week from January 28th to February 3rd 2013 in deep red in their calendars as the IEM finds its way back to São Paulo, Brazil. We saw a strictly national tournament fold out in the beginning of this year at the same venue with a mere fraction of this installment's prize money. This time, however, they aim to bring the world's best players along with them as they offer a $50,000 prize pool to eight lucky teams.
StarCraft 2 fans will have to wait for further details down the road but if this year's event is anything to go by, it will make for entertaining stories and a deserving champion either way.
This will be the final stop of the Intel Extreme Masters before it finds its end with the World Championships in March.
