Battle report from the quarter final between Draco and iloveoov.

The Korean progamer iloveoov told GosuGamers that Draco would be hard because he is such a strong player, and as the semifinals started, he certainly encountered problems. The first game he lost quickly to a zealot and dragoon rush that Draco executed with perfect timing.

The second game, which we managed to see more of, was a game where the Monster Terran showed that you don't beat his macro. It was a standard PvT opening on Gaia but iloveoov quickly took map control and started expanding. A while into the game Draco switched to carriers - something that iloveoov quickly saw and had probably already expected. iloveoov switched to goliaths and pushed out Draco's main and natural expansion - successfully.

Draco, down to two bases, had managed to build a lot of carriers and harassed iloveoov substantially. With less and less gas income, iloveoov looked like he was under some real pressure. GosuGamers prepared a news post to announce that the Monster was out while the audience was holding their breath.

Nevertheless, iloveoov finally managed to kill the carrier army as it was passing his base. Draco had stopped supporting it by then and switched back to a great army of dragoons. It was his last one, however, and as it was defeated in the middle of the map by a strong sieged army, there was not much left to do but to surrender.

In the last and third game, Draco managed to steal iloveoov's gas three times in a row, even though iloveoov had seven or more SCVs attacking the gas and had the probe rebuilding it.

This slowed oov down quite a bit and forced him to build an academy and a bunker and produce a lot of marines as defence. Had Draco been rushing zealots right there, he would have had a great chance of cheesing the Monster Terran and finally winning the game.

Unfortunately for Draco, he never managed to get into the base because siege tanks were keeping him out of there. iloveoov now had three tanks, a few vultures, SCVs, an Ebay and about eight marines. These went out on a rampage attack against Draco and pushed with an incredible display of skill which the Polish progamer had no chance against. Draco made a few last attempts to defend himself with zealots and dragoons but the match was already over and the GG was a fact.
