Three proxy gate works against every Terran, doesn't it? Cobo just defeated Midas on Azalea with the strategy.
The biggest upset so far is located in the group "No chance to survive make time", Group B. The Korean superstar Midas (picture) just lost against the Malaysian player Cobo in a quick game played on Azalea. Cobo did a three gateway proxy and after a bit more than two minutes Midas typed good game.
Cobo tells GosuGamers that he got some piece of advice from ZelotITO before the match, that's the reason for him daring to do this to Midas - a do or die strategy.
This really opens up the group, as everybody were expecting Midas to win all his matches, might lose one or two against maybe Mondragon and Draco. In the first round Midas totally dominated Mondragon at Paranoid Android, and he looked very strong. Midas third opponent is Draco, and it will be very interesting to see. If Draco wins then Midas is in a lot of trouble with two losses so soon.
And for Cobo it looks well, currently with one win and one loss (against Draco). He is up against Artosis in the next game. We continue to look at the Group B results with interest.
We talked to the referees and they said that replays will be released later this day. We will keep you posted regarding updates with the replays.
