Nick Plott, from the United States is one of his nation's most known StarCraft players. At World Cyber Games, he was an official shoutcaster for StarCraft and Dead or Alive. Nick Plott, more known to you as rS.Tasteless[9], did not qualify for the WCG Grand Final. Instead, he was defeated early in the first round, and started shoutcasting instead to have something to do. Quite recently, he joined the new SK.bw coverage team and was thereby interviewed by Troku at SK-Gaming.com.
Tasteless asked Radio ITG (shoutcasters at WCG USA 2005) if he could take the spot as shoutcaster, and after a bit of thinking, they said yes - and he sure did not let them down. He was later offered the job of a shoutcaster at WCG in Singapore, together with the radio guru Wacksteven. "We weren’t used to casting with each other at first, but after the 1st game it was really easy, to be honest." He also gave him a few tips on how to pass off lines to create a flow in the shoutcast. But the two also got real professional help - from OnGameNet.
"It was really cool working with them, I'm a big fan of them, so it was really cool to meet the people who make it all happen," says Tasteless and explains how the cooperation worked down there. They were the directors of all the broadcasting games, and they also gave him tips on how to shoutcast. "they had a lot of cue cards for me to read (like talk about the players, talk about the map)" he says to Troku, and reveals that it was an honor.
Other than the shoutcasting part, they bring up the whole World Cyber Games experience, how it was down there and especially on seeing his brother playing in the tournament. He tells that they use to support eachother a lot in tournaments. He mentions that in WCG USA 2005 finals, when Tasteless had lost, his brother Day (picture) took him for an outdoor walk for 5 minutes to calm him down. In Singapore, he did the same for him.

“I don't think I have some hidden shoutcasting talent or anything. I just love Starcraft and I love talking about it, and I know I'm never afraid to speak in front of people.”
