Tomasz Boron, also known as "Tarson" is a Terran player from Poland and who is currently holding #28 spot in GosuGamers rankings.
But the main issue here is not his position on GosuGamers rankings or his main StarCraft race - it's his leaking of valuable TSL results. Tarson spoiled the results of his Ro16 match with Nony by posting on a Polish forum. These posts happened immediately after his match with Nony and several hours before the TSL Ro16 Broadcast that showed his games.
The team that investigated this issue have some proofs of Tarson spoiling the results.
"I advise you to not watch my games."
"I'm just saying do not watch those fucking games, fucked up... (more expletives, grief, regret) ... fucking StarCraft. I can't believe myself what has happened"
""Where did I write result ? I'm saying to not watch (those) games, that's all lol ;]"."
It's obvious that frustration and anger just gathered up and it's a normal thing that happens after matches of this caliber. After dust settled a bit, Tarson did send an apology to the TeamLiquid staff.
Tarson:
As you probably know I kinda revealed my results vs Nony on a Polish forum. I was very frustrated after my loss but I shouldn't have said that. I want to apologize everyone for my behavior.
Just after that, Team Liquid staff decided that they will penalize Tarson with 50% of prize reduction ($125 penalty). Penalized money will be donated to a charity to be determined later. From what we can gather, penalty would be harder (full drawback of prize that player has won) but as this is the first incident of this kind - TSL staff did take Tarson's apology in consideration and made the punishment a bit smaller.
TSL can only exist if results are not leaked by players. The players earn their prizes not only because they win, but because they generate a quality product for their advertisers. In the end, we can only say that this issue can be an example to everyone else.
