? For the first time in a long while, the Illustrious "El Classico" matchup would not go as predicted and SK gaming would certainly turn some heads.   ?SK vs. FNC (Click for Drafts  and results)

The game to kick off the European LCS would be "el classico" which while legendary in terms of the longevity of eSports has been an underwhelming rivalrly in terms of League of Legends games.  Today, that would change. SK Gaming has been putting on quite a show ever since the start of the week where they brought the biggest upset in this split's history by taking out Team ALTERNATE.

Coming off of that victory, we saw Ocelote play one of his best early games yet, applying a lot of pressure with his Twisted Fate and assisting Kevin with stopping the ultra powerful laning phase that Kennen has.  It wouldn't take long before SK Gaming had a crushing kill lead over the squadron of Fnatic, beating them in lanes and also objectives until mid game.

When mid game rolled around,  SK Gaming would find ways to slip their lead rather than closing it out steadily, an issue they have been plagued with since the dawn of the team.  Fnatic were able to capitalize on a plethora of avenues and even grab the first baron of the game.  Just when things had started to swing,  SK would bring it right back to them.

With several inhibitors going down and SK Gaming picking up the next 3 barons but unable to fully siege, the games excitement would not stop until the very last minute.  But after all was said and done, SK gaming managed to prevail and grab their first win against Fnatic in 2 full years -- a highly recommended watch!

GG vs. NIP

Gambit Gaming is having to use a substitute for this weekend and while he seems to be doing okay, the synergy discrepancy was clearly visible.  While holding his own in lane, the teamfights seemed a little shaky.  However, with their raw skill and determination, they were able to pull a fairly large objective-based advantage even while being down in kills against Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Yesterday, everyone had their doubts on the exchange of 3 primarily players for NiP being switched out -- especially with the legacy NiP had as Copenhagen Wolves last season starting 0-9 and then coming back incredibly strong.  After their win yesterday, they strength would continue to be shown today.

With some intense back and forth action and Genja showing off his crazy builds once again by lacking attack speed and favoring Muramana on Ashe, it looked like Gambit had things under full control.  Regrettably for them, that was simply not the case.  Despite the solid individual performances of Gambit Gaming, it looked like the newly reborn Ninjas in Pyjamas were able to pull out a much more consistent performance throughout the duration of the game and pull another desperately needed win against Gambit.
