After a nailbiting best of five spanning 4 of the 5 games to test the strongest team in the Chinese region, OMG pulled ahead after impressive back and forths to take first. It took awhile for OMG to turn the heat up against Positive Energy to fulfill the legacy they've created for themselves, having not been recognized as a team capable of destroying the other tournament during the very long period of World Elite's dominance. However, OMG's military-style training allowed them to train for all teams instead of simply countering World Elite, a famous strategy for China at the time, and the doors were soon blown wide open. OMG's strategies up to the championships have always been immaculate, training just as hard mentally as mechanically when it came to innovation to the games leading up to today. This is not to discredit Positive Energy, who no one would have suspected would rise to the elevated levels of play seen today. The games were by no means steamrolls and were hard-fought battles instead. Game 1 and 2 would be extraordinarily close, with both wanting the massive prize pool amounting to roughly 80,000 USD combined, more than EUW and NA have to offer discounting the salaries. It was only in game 3 where things really started to move in the favor of OMG and it was very clear they were the level-headed team with the largest advantage.
With things beginning to slip into OMG's favor due to make several less mistakes, using innovation such as Doran's Blade Elise on their jungler, and coming out with epic baron steals to close out otherwise even games, the score would no longer be even after the initial 1-1 and OMG would win the next two games in a row, with the 4th one going convincingly in their favor. OMG fulfill a legacy thought only to belong to one team, now taking it home and finding themselves crowned the best team in China. ?
