If there's any time Royal Club showed it's maximum potential in aggression, it's their first game against EDG where Uzi acquired first blood with a pre-5 minute dive.  EDG were able to grab the first dragon but Royal Club acquired the first two towers and kills, showing the best coordination they've had in a long time.  After their top and mid dominance, Royal Club rotated bottom, but EDG were able to defend that turret.

The downside to the early grouping was the free farm acquired by Koro, who pulled way ahead of Nct. Despite the insane aggression early, Royal Club were conceding map control due to superior warding by EDG. EDG's dragon times were impeccable, and they were easily able to acquire the second one and tie up the gold lead. EDG established their lead further when they turned a gank bottom.

Early dives showed Royal's early confidence, though they struggled to transition it to later plays.

Since Royal Club were shoved in on the top side, EDG were able to rotate center and poke down with a fed Nidalee on U, sieging mid.  Royal Club attempted to turn on EDG afterwards and come out on top, but couldn't turn it into anything because of the painful poking ability from EDG.

Interestingly, baron was not a deciding factor in this game and EDG continuede to apply the pleasure and hold objective control  without it. However, ClearLove did manage to grab the smite on the baron when the fight there did inevitably happened, even with an already 10k lead on a game they started from behind.  EDG were able to grab a clear ace at baron and end the game.

Royal Club took lessons from KT Rolster in this game and counterpicked Shen into Renekton while Kmi chose his favorite, currently out-of-meta champion pick of Jarvan IV.  In a straight up 2v2, Namei and Fzzf managed to outplay LeY and grab first blood on Vayne in what is supposed to be a nightmare matchup against Caitlyn.  Despite counterpicking, Koro1 was able to shove up early and dominate Nct in the top lane.

To further the advantage, Koro and ClearLove were able to take out Nct and grab the tower as well. Royal responded by taking a dragon to make the gold disparity a little less impactful.  A 2-0 was starting to look more and more imminent with every kill that Namei had picked up, however, and he was 3-0 shortly after the 10 minute mark and outfarming his counter.

EDG being the one to play behind towers this time.

EDG ended up pulling too far ahead for Royal Club to do much and EDG were able to engage and dive behind turrets. With all the lanes shoved in, Royal Club tried one last engage to defend their top inhibitor and managed to pick a few off and push them away from top inhibitor.  Unfortunately, the damage had already been done and EDG were able to close the game out after an easily acquired baron.

The matchup between the two Chinese representatives at IEM Katowice would finally get a chance to play each other here with an aggressive first blood start coming out from Invictus Gaming.  However, four flashes were blown from Invictus Gaming, so instead of going to lane they decided to invade again and grab another kill, contesting the blue. Following that, Kid and Kitties proceeded to proxy against Caomei to abuse WE's lane swap.

The two showed their entertaining to watch playstyles as team skirmishes happned all over the place, but due to a stronger early composition, Invictus Gaming kept coming out on top.  The game started evening out around 20 minutes when an incredibly close fight broke out with both teams getting each other low where even the slightest misplay would be crucial to take advantage of.

Even after 2 minutes, everyone was still fighting in the jungle and not in lane.

World Elite were able to walk up to dragon at 21 minutes and steal dragon despite iG having control of the area, but World Elite were still behind in kills.  Invictus Gaming managed to keep a tower lead as well as a gold lead, with World Elite attempted to take dragons to have some semblence of control.  An overzealous engage from Caomei would crush WE.

Shortly after, Invictus Gaming were at the inhibitor doorstep of World Elite both bottom and mid lane, and with a barn, Invictus Gaming were easily able to siege the nexus towers.  World Elite attempted to push them out of the base, but with no luck, making iG come out with an early 1-0 lead in the series.

Yet another laneswap kicked off in WE vs. iG with Invictus Gaming being the first to abuse it.  With an early dive, Illusion was able to grab a first blood and lots of damage went down onto World Elite's bottom lane.  However, the first tower going down was actually Invictus Gaming's top tower, taken out by the Vayne/Morgana duo of Weixiao and Conan.

The big swing around came mid game when World Elite rotated middle and got several kills, diving through mid and taking turrets in the process.  Since iG couldn't get ahead early, Pdd's pick of Irelia wasn't paying off, especially with how hard suk1m was winning in the mid game. Invictus swung the game around with a teamfight at dragon, but nothing could take away the four tower deficit iG were suffering.

World Elite took a leap of faith and went all-in on a dive against iG. It turned out well.

As the game continued on, Invictus Gaming still had less turrets but had acquired a gold lead as well as a crucial baron buff that allowed them to slowly turn the sieges around in their favor. Teamfights, however, continued to go grossly in World Elite's favor.  28 minutes in, the team went 4 for 0 almost losing 2, trading off blows and then using their advantage to step into iG's base and crush through the inhibitor.

Following the inhibitor kill, the spawn times were still on four members of Invictus Gaming, so World Elite decided to aggress towards the middle turrets, but were pushed out of the base.  When baron respawned, World Elite would use that to get the finishing edge they needed to take out Invictus Gaming and tie the score between the two teams this week.
